One of them is mine, the Nazi hitwoman Captain Geryon. I'm playing the complete opposite of the real Dayna, what I enjoy because I like challenges like that. <p> </p> <p><b>Specifically taking into account that you're originally from Germany: What were the first thoughts going through your mind when you heard the movie's title, <i><a href="../movies/deadwalkers(2013).shtml">Dead Walkers: Rise of the 4th Reich</a></i> (and I seriously hope this question is not too much of a clichée)?</b></p> <p> </p> <table border="0" cellspacing="0" width="355" align="right"> <tr> <td width="100%"> <p align="right"><img border="0" src="../stills/dayna-duo.jpg" width="350" height="208"></p> <p align="center"><i>Dayna with Graham Gill</i></td> </tr> </table> <p>I thought: That's interesting, why not being part of it...? I'm not bothered about the Second World War because it's over and we can't change the terrible things that happened in it. I'm interested in the artistic side of the movie.</p> <p>  <p><b>How did you get involved with the project in the first place?</b></p> <p> </p> <p>I've worked with the <i><a href="../research/resultprodlinks.shtml?Reality Entertainment"> Reality Films</a></i> and <i><a href="../research/resultprodlinks.shtml?Chemical Burn"> Chemical Burn</a></i> cast and crew before when I played a possessed girl in <b> <a href="../movies/exorcistchronicles(2013).shtml"> Exorcist Chronicles</a></b>. So I stayed in touch and a few months later I received an e-mail about <b> <a href="../movies/deadwalkers(2013).shtml"> Dead Walkers</a></b>, what it is about, and that they are looking for actors and extras to take part. And how did you first hook up with him?</b> <p>   <p> The collaboration with Philip is very honest, in an encouraging way. I met him the first time at the audition for <b> <a href="../movies/exorcistchronicles(2013).shtml"> Exorcist Chronicles</a></b> in July last year. It felt really good to audition for the character of the possessed girl because it was an amazing feeling of freedom to be just crazy and to do whatever we like. I can really say that working with this cast and crew was very inspiring for me because of so much dedication and positive energy. I'm normally a person who hates freezing... but as I said before, it's worth it. <p>   <p> <b>Prior to <i>Dead Walkers: Rise of the 4th Reich</i>, you have made another film with Philip Gardiner <i>[<a href="philipgardiner(2-13).shtml">Philip Gardiner interview - click here</a>]</i>, <i><a href="../movies/exorcistchronicles(2013).shtml">Exorcist Chronicles</a>]</i> - so what can you tell us about that experience?</b> <p>   <p> It was something I've never done before. I like playing crazy characters like a possessed person. I wanted to be part of the awesome world of arts where everything and anything is possible. I started professionally in 2005 when I went to 2 different drama schools in Munich learning different approaches like Method Acting, the Tschechow method, Stanislavski and Meisner. After that I attended the Downtown Music Institute in Augsburg, Germany to do a 1 year course in vocals for rock/popmusic.<p> <p><b>As mentioned earlier, you are originally from Germany. My fiancé Al Branton who is a musician encouraged me to come to London. So I did a 4-weeks course in Acting for Film at the Met Film School at Ealing Studios in London where I worked with directors and casting agents who worked with Jonny Depp and Keira Knightley before. In 2009 I played a character in an award winning German feature film called <b> Vincent will Meer</b>, together with actor Florian David Fitz who is also known from an American hospital sitcom and Karoline Herfurth who is a star in Germany. I also played in a few German TV series to see different ways of working in front of the camera.<p> <p><b>How would you describe yourself as an actress, and what do you draw upon to bring your characters to life?</b><p> <p>I like challenging roles! It's no big deal to become a complete different character who has nothing to do with the real you as long as you focus on the situation, the emotion and create your own world around this specific person you are portraying.
