Your new movie
Operation:
Total Trouble - in a few words, what's it about? The story follows two
Frenchies, Zoey and Kenny and how they choose chaos when their owner goes
to work.
Given the theme of your movie, are you a dog owner yourself,
and/or is any of this based on personal experiences?
I’ve owned many dogs in the past. But this story was one hundred percent
inspired by my landlady’s Frenchies also named Zoey and Kenny.

Early 1990s cartoons definitely
inspired me - Doug, Rugrats, etc.
Do talk about
Operation:
Total Trouble's brand of humour for a bit!
I wanted to develop a family
oriented animation that a whole family can enjoy.
My comedy and sense of humor has always been R rated.
Definitely known for my unfiltered cringe humor and my shock & awe
genre blending.
A few words about your overall directorial approach to your
story at hand?
This is my first attempt at
doing animation as a director/producer and was always on my bucket list.
You have to have a very detailed vision for directing animation. Also
directing actors via voice acting.
What can you tell us about your co-writer and animator Yennefer
Diaz, and what was your collaboration like?
It was an interesting, unique
experience. I posted on Twitter back in July 2025 looking for an
animator to collaborate with. and she was one of the artists who responded.
She was newer, looking to build up her portfolio and was willing to work
on this low budget. It was a huge learning curve and was surprised to pull
it off. When doing animation you usually record the voice acting then do
animation. I had a short time period so we did the animation first and
would lose her to scheduling in end of September.
You of course also have to talk about

Total Trouble's voice cast, and why exactly these
people?
Originally I was going to
voice all the characters, but chickened out. (Laughs) So I cast Gary
Turner as the voice of Kenny. He’s been an actor I really wanted to work
with for a while but never got the chance. He also became co-producer in
the post production stage due to losing animator in end of September.
For the voice of Zoey I originally wanted to have actress Tommie
Vegas - a friend and collaborator of mine. But her schedule was all over
the place and needed to buckle down. Gary talked me into giving his
daughter Paytn (yes that is spelled correctly). She sent me an audition
tape and it was perfect for Zoey. I played the role of Old Lady and my
podcast producer/co-host Simon Watson of 20 Minutes with Chad played
the voice of the squirrel.
Do talk us through the whole process of making
Operation:
Total Trouble!
The idea came to me in July
2025, Yennefer and I started the animation process in August and she
completed about 90% of the animation.
October 2025 did the voice recording with the cast. Then all of
November I brought on my friend/sometimes collaborator Andrew Hooper to
help salvage the last 10% of the animation with editing. Then he did the
sound mixing and editing. Which made the 300 times better. We completed
in December 2025, held a special screening on December 15th 2025 before
submitting to film festivals January-July 2026. We will be officially
releasing it on the internet August 2026.

If you love Frenchies, lo-fi
animation and family oriented comedy then this movie is for you. Pure 4
minutes of fun.

This was my first attempt at
animation. It’s really not my wheelhouse or my strength. So I highly doubt
doing another animation. As
for future projects probably go back to my wheelhouse of doing comedy
short films and sketch comedy videos.
