The world's overrun by zombies, and that's a bad thing ... but Leslie
(Danielle Lozeau) and Brad (Mike Brayden) really love one another, and
that's good, so they make up a plan how to sit it all out that involves
hiding out at the estate of friends who are away for holidays - a great
plan, really ... if that estate hadn't also been chosen as a hide-out by a
vampire (Nadia Lanfranconi). Now she's more than happy about the new
arrivals to her refuge - especially about Brad, whom she plans to make her
new companion. But death doesn't always pan out the way one wants it to
... This is first and foremost a fun little genre movie that's
more than a little bit of the "what if?" variety (as in
"what if zombies and vampires would meet?") and is told with all
the verve of an old-fashioned short story, where the twist ending if of
course the main raison d'être, but the journey to get there is also loads
of fun. This is helped by a directorial effort that understands both genre
and having fun and a cast that really brings the characters to life. A fun
one, really!
