Ash (Bruce Campbell) has about half a minute mourning the demise of his
dad (Lee Majors) by his own car last
episode, then it's back to reality again and he and his sidekick
Pablo (Ray Santiago) have to take care of his possessed car on a Christine-style
rampage. And soon the car sucks Pablo inside, too, so Ash has to persuade
his drunk friend Chet (Ted Raimi) to give him a lift - with pretty chaotic
results. Meanwhile, inside Ash's car, the Necronomicon tells Pablo how he
can return it back to its own dimension, which actually might end the
whole mess ...
At the same time, Kelly (Dana DeLorenzo) and Ruby Knowby (Lucy Lawless)
are busy in the morgue killing Ruby's demon spawn, whom she still
affectionally calls "children", to keep them from summoning Baal
(voiced by Joel Tobeck).
A very action-heavy episode - and it does a good job at keeping the
action fresh and inventive, especially the scenes where Ash fights his own
car are hilarious. And the other fun thing about this one is that it
actually has a happy ending - but knowing the series, it actually comes
across as a cliffhanger, for the audience has learned over the course of
the series to not believe in happy endings.
