Steve Hodge, a naive boxer, falls in love with Mirka, the girl of a boxing promoter (Fred
Finklehoffe) with mob connections. When, in a conflict, he flats said
promoter with a powerful right hook, the man decides to put out a
contract on him & his manager (John Tull). The manager, a pervert
who tends to get violent with women before having sex, sets up a
contract on the promoter too. In the end, though, he does the wrong
thing, actually getting it on with Mirka, when his boxing protege steps
in ... What happens to the whole gangster subplot with manager &
promoter having a contract on each other will never be known.
Buck Flower plays a drunk ex-boxer, perennial favourite Uschi Digart
has a brief but nude guest appearence.
If you haven't noticed after at least the last sentence, this is a
sex romp, with the gangster- & the sex-plot not sitting all that
well together. It's one of these pictures which producer Harry H.Novak
churned out back then by the dozen. Not a good film, it's still a fun
nostalgic look at erotica from yesteryear. |
