Blue Hole is a duck pond as pittoresque as they come in the New Jersey
forests, and yet it's also at the center of many a disappearance of many a
hiker over the last few years, with urban legends ranging from
serialkillers to zombies. So a local TV station sends out their best
reoirter (Michelle Gibbs) to investigate - but rather than that, she's
likely to become part of the sad story of the little lake herself ...
Now overall this movie has been a litle frankensteined, and it shows, as
one can't just shoehorn footage from as early as 1997 into a 2023 movie
... or can they really, as this is actually a pretty cool piece of horror
filmmaking. And sure, it doesn't break any new ground, but it delivers its
scares and shocks at al the right moments to make this work after all, and
the consistent location through all of this only helps to keep this
coherent, and a cool genre ride.
