Adrian (Greg Audino), his wife Sharon (Kathryn Adams) and their friend
Luke (Brendan Michael O'Malley) go on a camping trip together as a
"team building exercise", as they own a company together. But
Sharon and Luke don't feel too comfortable about this, as they actually
have an affair Adrian is (obviously) not supposed to know about, but
Adrian acts mighty suspicious of late, as if he knew something. Then at
night, Sharon and Luke find a cache containing torture instruments in a
ditch near the camping site, and they're sure Adrian buried it there. When
Adrian sneaks up on them they knock him out and tie him up. But it's later
when they question him that things become not quite as clear anymore, as
any of the three could have buried the cache to get rid of the other two
... A nice little piece of horror that succeeds by luring you
into thinking you've got the story all figured - also with its
retro-grindhouse looks, really - to then twist and turn incessantly before
coming up with a very unexpected resolution. And besides the writing it's
really the directorial effort that keeps the viewers on the edges of their
seats, as it complements the plot extremely well, taking part in its
deceipts. Well worth a watch for sure.
