Dara (Sparkle Soojian) is one of the last horror hosts left in the country, talking her audience through cheap horror flicks once a week wearing sexy outfits, never short of a snarky remark or raunchy comment. And the team her produccer Jack (Michael S. Rodriguez) has assembled around her has grown into a family - a sometimes disfuctional family but family still. And then they find one of their own (Art Paul) murdered, and just before he was to do his first turn as a director. More and more of the team end up dead, all killed like in the style of the old B-movies shown on the show. And frankly the police are pretty useless when it somes to tracking the killer down, expecially after his ideintity is revealed as a deranged horror fan (Ollie Ameera). So eventually it's up to Dara to lure the killer into a trap in her studio - but it's a trap that can spring both ways ...

Now this is a fun one, as it's at the same time an hommage to old horror hosts (and even opens with clips of Elvira, Svenghoulie and Joe Bob Briggs) by really leaning into their shtick but also presenting us with clips of some of the movies they would typically air. But what makes this one almost meta is that the main characters of the movie are then thrown into a story that follows genre tropes to a t - and the inclusion of genre veterans like Felissa Rose, Lisa London, Deborah Dutch and Sally kirkland is only the ising on the cake. So if you like your vintage horror nicely packaged into hosted segments, then this one's probably the go-to movie for you.
