These days, Tara (Jennimay Walker) is nothing but an inconspicuous waitress at a diner, living a rather happy life, and her biggest worry is that she has a babysitter, Jenny (Cynthia Paredes) for her daughter Caia (Cienna Rtigo) on the nights she's working. Thing is, things haven't always been like that, and eventually her past catches up with her in the form of her former pimp Vince (Noel Gugliemi), who together with his strongman Nico (Mike Ferguson) takes Caia and Jenny hostage to make Tara do his bidding - and that bidding is find and kill her own sister Leslie, who has gone off to the deep end long ago. Now that alone is traumatic enough and not made any easier by the fact that Tara has no idea where to even find her sister, but it's made all the more difficult that along the way, Vince makes Tara to pick up certain people and drive them across town - and not all of these people are all that well-intentioned ...

Being set mostly (but by no means exclusively) in Tara's car, this film really gets the most out of its premise, using the rather intimate setting to its advantage and building a tight thriller that also works as a character piece around it. And Jennimay Walker carries the film rather beautifully, leading a competent cast, while as relentless as the script may be, it's also well-structured and brought to life by a directorial effort as dynamic as can be given the limitations, making this a very cool (and at times pretty disturbing) genre ride.
