Ryder (Daniel Van Thomas), a vagrant by the looks of it,
"saves" Betsy (Tatum Langton) from being robbed by a hobo -
well, not really as the hobo's a friend of hers and she's always
well-armed with pepper spray ... but she also has a big heart, and when
she sees Ryder's actually injured, and he hasn't eaten for days by the
looks of it, she takes him with her to the diner she works at to have a
meal in the back room - the manager (Travis Coles) won't have the hobos
she brings mingling with the paying customers. There's one thing, Ryder's
actually a werewolf - and it's full moon ... Very nice horror
miniature that keeps its plot on the skeletal side and doesn't even try to
explain away too much, and instead concentrates on fleshing out its
characters, creating suspense and setting the shocks just where they
belong - and thanks to a subtle directorial effort and solid performances,
this works out very well, too!
