It's Resch's (Eberhard Mondry) first day on police patrol duty, but
he's just a bit too ambitious for his superior (Fritz Strassner) and is
thus teamed up with Huber (Karl Tischlinger) and Danbrowski (Wilmut
Borell), two slightly disillusioned old dogs on the force who are supposed
to tune Resch's ambitions down a few notches. And really the first day
isn't all Resch had imagined it to be, as at first he has to wait by an
illegally parked car for the tow truck to arrive while Huber and
Dambrowski rush some stored blood through down, then the three find a baby
girl that might have been abandoned, and Resch has to change her diapers
... At least judging from the first episode, this is a police
show as harmless as they get, as it shows its cop protagonists not
investigating crimes or getting into any actual action, but just doing
their day-to-day work - which for the most part isn't very exciting. That
said, this episode is well-filmed at least and tries to get the most out
of the little it has, and it might have worked as good family TV
entertainment back in the day, but from today's point of view it seems
above all else old-fashioned - which has its charm as well of course, but
it's not something that will linger in the mind for long.
