Upon coming home one night, Kim Gyu-ri finds a very frightened Choi Jeong-yun on her doorstep, a friend from college she hasn't seen for 2 years. Choi is frightened of the spirit of Kyung-Ah (Ha Ji-won), who killed herself 2 years ago. Trying to help Choi, Kim contacts her other close friends from the time that suicide occurred, only to find out they all seem to be haunted by Kyung-ah too (& by the way, so is Kim, too). Flashback to 2 years ago: As Kim meets Kyung-ah for the first time, they soon become good friends, but when she introduces her to her group of close friends (calling themselves A Few Good Men), the chemistry of this close group is soon disrupted, not at all helped by the obvious hate Choi harbours towards her. Soon she finds out Kyung-ah was the spooky girl of her & Kim's village when they were kids, blamed for almost everything bad by the superstitious townsfolks, & also for Kim's dad's death. When Choi tells this to the group, Kim, who still blames her for her dad's death, leaves in tears. Soon after that, Kyung-ah jumps from a rooftop to her death.

Present time again: It isn't long before the Few Good Men from 2 years ago die one by one, & it seems the spirit of Kyung-ah is involved. Or is Choi the killer, who, we learn, just escaped from a sanatorium ? Or could it be their lawyer friend Yu Jun-sang, who obviously has more than one secret to hide ? But when Kim sees a tape from 2 years back, things take a very different turn: It is revealed that Kyung-ah's suicide wasn't a suicide at all but she was accidently killed in a fight with the Few Good Men (minus Kim, of course, who left just minutes before). Pannicking, the friends decided to make it look like suicide, mounting her on the rooftop of the building & having her fall down. Even more shocking though is the fact that Kyung-ah, wasn't dead after all, on the rooftop she regained conciousness, but was still thrown off ...

Present time yet again: When Yu Jun-sang finds out Kim has seen the tape he comes to the conclusion he has to kill both her & Choi (apart from him the only 2 survivors from the group of friends form back then) so they can't ruin his career, his life. Luckily, the girls do manage to save themselves in the nick of time, killing him in their fight for life instead.

Back home, Kim seems more than happy that everything's over - that is, until Kyung-ah's spirit appears again, slashing Choi's throat before her very eyes.

No doubt, this is a slasher movie, but way more effort than usual was put into the script, having the storyline taking twists & turns that not usually turn up in this kind of movies. Also, the characters are very carefully etched out, with the long flashback-sequences working particularly well to that respect. On a technical level, this movie relies heavily on atmosphere, having many a creepy moment, but also some nice gory effects. So, while this movie might not be the most original one, you'd be hard-pressed to find a more entertaining & better made one within the boundaries of the slasher genre.
