2000 years ago in Moronoco: Habib (Danny Pape) the harem keeper finds
genies Jeannie (Nicole Sheridan) and Akbar (Evan Stone) making love, and
imprisons them in a bottle and a wooden box, respectively.
2000 years later, Major Tony (Alexandre Boisvert, actually Nicole
Sheridan's husband) finds the box and the bottle in a cave, and brings
them back to the USA. Back home, Jeannie's bottle is accidently opened one
night, and she right away offers Tony sex, but he refuses her advances,
mainly because he is engaged to Suzanne (Kennedy Johnston) - but then he
doesn't know of course that Suzanne is only after the money and has a
lesbian affair with Chelsea (Beverly Lynne) ...
The next morning, Tony tells Suzanne about Jeannie, but naturally,
Suzanne does not believe him. But bitchy as she is, she soon steals both
Tony's bottle and the box. And while she throws the bottle down some
cliffs so Jeannie won't bother her rich hubby-to-be anymore, she takes the
box back home. At home, she and Chelsea open the box and out comes -
Akbar, claiming he will grant all their wishes, and the girls of course
immediately wish for a threeway, then they let Akbar do the cleaning and
the laundry ...
And to make things perfect, Suzanne, withthe help of her doctor father
(Jay Richardson), has Tony, who claims to be seeing genies, admitted to an
insane asylum ...
Jeannie's bottle meanwhile has opened when falling down the cliffs, and
now she is looking for her master - but runs into a domina (Dolorian), who
misinterprets her wish to find her master, and soon the two woman have sex
in an SM-dungeon.
Among Suzanne's laundry, Akbar meanwhile finds a head scarf belonging
to Jeannie, and immediately, he figures she must be in danger ... and
arrives at the SM dungeon just when the women are finished. Then the two
genies beam themselves to Suzanne's place and turn her into a stone, and
finally they go to the insane asylum, make Suzanne's dad think he's a dog,
then Jeannie invites Tony to her bottle to have you-know-what ...
Obviously, this film is an softcore erotic spoof of the 1960's sitcom I
Dream of Jeannie, done on a very small budget (most of the sets
are just differently themed rooms in a swinger club) in a mere 2 1/2 days,
and of course, the focus of this film is hardly on storytelling or comedy
but on the make-out scenes.
But does this make Genie in a String Bikini necessarily a bad
film ?
Not necesarily, as director/writer Fred Olen Ray at least tried to
infuse the film with some comedy as an added value besides the sex, and at
least Nicole Sheridan, Jay Richardson and especially Evan Stone show some
comic talent to make the non-sex-scenes work - maybe not work on a very
high level, but after all this is basically a softcore sex flick with some
comedy tacked on, not the other way round ...
