Checker (Andy Schatner) is nothing if not a scumbag, and always has
been. He's an incorrigible drug pusher and user, he's been indicted in
numerous charges of violence, both domestic and other, he holds on to guns
a little bit too threateningly in anybody's point of view - but that said,
when two policemen (North Roberts, Mykal Rodriguez) come knocking on his
door this day to "talk", nobody can judge him for his reason to
fight it out to the last ... Basically, Guardianship is
a hostage situation thriller bared to the bones - including several
instances you might be familiar with from other movies of its ilk ... and
still, the ultimate plottwist and the emotional core make this into
something highly original again - plus an effective directorial effort and
a strong cast make this very watchable!
