Jennifer (Deborah Twiss) comes to New York from Ohio, running from her
abusive husband (whom she ahs actually killed, but we only learn that
later), but only minutes after having arrived at Port Authority, she falls
prey to 2 rapists ... but before they can do their thing, they are
attacked by a gang of hooded girls, who beat them up, kill them (though
they actually force Jennifer to herself shoot one of them), and castrate
them.
Jennifer, they take with them. In fact, the girls, led by man-hating
Jessie, are the gang behind the killing & castration of several
rapists that leave the police baffled. & as a cover, they work at a
strip club. & they force Jennifer to stay with them & join their
gang, since she knows too much.
Soon ,the girls go on more killing sprees, & Jennifer takes a more
& mre active role in them, but then they accidently shoot a cop -
which as good as breaks up the gang, only Jessie won't accept that ...
Jennifer wants to return to Ohio, but female tough cop Perez, who was
investigating the case but was since taken off it, arrests her - 'cause
even if she can't get the girls gang, she can at least get Jennifer for
having killed her hubby ... but no, Perez doesn't want that either, she
seems to be sympathetic to Jennifer having killed her hubby & wants
her to return to the gang as a mole ...
Back with the other girls - who meet despite having broken up (?) -
Jennifer learns that Jessie wanted to go after another one of these
rapists, a big time mob boss, but got caught. Now the girls want to shoot
her out ... Jennifer counts herself in, but first, she has to take care of
something.
Later she meets with Perez, but not to squeal on the girls but to
handcuff Perez up where she can'T get in the way.
At the mob boss's place, a big shootout takes place, that wipes out the
entire mob and most of the girls save for Jennifer & Chris. Perez has
since freed herself & arrives at the scene as well, but only after
everybody is already dead, & their guns outnumbering the detective's,
Jennifer & Chris force her to let them go ...
As a result, Perez is celebrated as a hero for having taken out both
the mob & the girl gang, while Jennifer & Chris hit the
countryside ... only to learn rapists are everywhere ...
An unoriginal script that only seems to justify vigilantism, incredibly
lame dialogue, bad actors & actresses throughout and a truly
uninspired direction make up (no surprise here) a bad film - but bad in a
bad way. Thing is, the film takes itself totally serious & tries to
make a political statement - which is, stripped to the bone, "all men
are scum", which is probably even true, but it could have been
delivered in a more elegant way. The other thing about the film is that it
tries desperately to go for independent credibility - but somehow, amateur
actors, a low budget and a pseudo-political statement just aren't enough.
In fact the film looks like some indistinguishable direct-to-video fodder
with nothing else to it.
Big disappointment.
