Despite having been best friends for years, Luna (Claire Adams) and
Olivia (Samantha Labrecque) are nothing alike, and the time they have
spent apart during college has only underlined this. Thing is, they share
a very dark and terrible secret, and while Luna, the philosophy major,
tries to rationalize everything away, Olivia has no illusions about being
seen as anything other than monsters (would anyone know). During a chilled
summer meal then that reunifies them after months apart, things come to a
head - with quite a gruesome outcome ... A very interesting
little movie that approaches its subject matter in an utterly restrained
way, chooses the most idyllic of sceneries and the most relaced of
atmospheres to set up its ultimate gruesomeness (that's more hinted at
than shown), and likewise the characters talk about their rather eccentric
hobby in the most casual of ways - all of which makes the movie all the
more creepy - in the most wonderful and macabre way.
