Cai Tou (Yi Lei) is pretty much the unluckiest gambler ever, but nevertheless
he is relentless in his attempts to win at least once in any kind of gamble -
but no such luck. And when he tries to pay his debts at casino owner Brother 9
by letting him sleep with his wife, the plan backfires when the woman kicks
Brother 9 in the groin a tad too violently - causing Brother 9 to become
impotent.
So the angerend Brother 9 offers Cai Tou 3 ways out of the mess - either to
kill himself or to be kiled or to be castrated ...
Understandably, Cai Tou chooses the first option, but his bad luck won't
stop at suicide & so all his efforts to end his life are in vain ... &
then he finds a fortune in jewels !!!
However, before he can really enjoy his newfound riches, the owner of the
jewels, Liu San, shows up, & makes a weird suggestion with which he can get
to even more riches ... Cai Tou has to marry Liu San's daughter Ah Cui, a
rather hot-tempered young girl ... & furthermore, she's dead ...
Of course Cai Tou agrees, but what he didn't account for was that Ah Cui has
become a restless spirit who would jelously spoil all his attempts to pick up
other girls & make his life even more of a mess ... but after a time, the 2
agree that she would occasionally possess other girls so she & Cai Tou can
have sex ... which works fine at first when she possesses the cute airhostess
from next door, but when she later hornily possesses the rather ugly cleaning
lady or even a male painter, it turns out to not have been such a good idea.
Next up, impotent Brother 9 and his thugs reenter the scene, & now
Brother 9 is really bent on catrating Cai Tou, who is of course saved by his
wife who turns the men against one another by possessing them & then
possesses Cai Tou to beat them up with her judo skills ...
Next up it's back to the gambling dens, where Ah Cui agrees to help Cai Tou
to win for a change ... even though she runs into unexpected opposition when
the casino turns out to have hired a witch of its own & it all culminates
in a magic duel - which Ah Cui wins, if just ...
But coming home with his pockets full of money, Cai Tou has to realize Ah
Cui is no longer in lo9ve with him but has layed her eyes on the next-door
neighbour ... but no matter, since she is (was ?) a nice girl after all, she
has used her magic to make the lovely air-hostess from next door fall in love
with Cai Tou ...
A rather broad supernatural comedy, that, despiute its very episodic
structure manages to stay pretty predictable (not a good premise for a comedy
in the first place) & furthermore is no all that funny (an even worse
premise for a comedy).
