Chelsea (Michelle Davidson) is a stressed out mother of two (Vanessa
Rapp, Stella Bratcher) with a husband (Brian Paulette) who sees himself as
the sole breadwinner - and thus he feels he doesn't have to help out in
the household at all but may complain all he want and constantly tell his
wife how everything was better in his mum's household ... and then Chelsea
gets hold of the secret of his mum - a magic hourglass that will stop time
to give her that extra hour every dayto run a perfect household - and
Chelsea makes use of it, and suddenly she becomes the picture-book wife
... but there's a problem, there's a curse on the hourglass if one uses it
more than once a day, and Chelsea doesn't exactly know what that curse is
- but figures it can't be that bad when she, stressed out to the brim,
uses it a second time that day ... ouch! One of these short
films that relies on a strong narrative rather than spectacle - and fares
much better as a result. And couple this with a story taking deliberate
steps at our patriarchal culture and a great central performance by
Michelle Davidson, and you'll come up with something pretty great, too!
By the way, part of Hillbilly
Horror Show - Episode 4.
