For months now, cops Hugh (Jeremy Ninaber) and Dan (Matthew NBinaber) have
been investigating a series of missing person cases that were all linked
to one sex site on the net, but with that being the on ly clue their
investigations went nowhere - when a woman, Nicole (Krissten Kaster) has a
car crash and in her car the bodies of two of the missing persons are
found. Plus, it also turns out that she's a camgirl on the very porn site
at the center of investigations. So that logically makes her the prime
suspect, and Hugh wants to go good cop-bad cop on her - but Dan has to
bail out because he has had an affair with Nicole. So Nicole relates her
story to Hugh, how she has met pretty Rachel (Storm Steenson) at a bar one
day, how they became lovers in no time,. how Rachel, a camgirl herself,
has talked her into camming, and ultimately has taken to kill all of the
lovers Nicole has had over time, whom Nicole has all found through
camming. Admittedly a pretty striking story - there's only that Nicole
repeatedly contradicts herself in details and plays the victim card a
little too obviously ...
Now I have to admit, the third act plot twist doesn't come as surprisingly
as the filmmakers would have hoped, at least to genre afficionados as
myself, but that said, this is still a pretty cool piece of erotic horror
(no actual nudity though) that despite a slightly predictable ending
manages to twist and turn enough to keep the audience on the edge of their
seat throughout, with all the jump scares and violence in all the right
places. And a directorial effort that's both erotic and atmospheric and a
solid cast only help make this a very worthwhile piece of genre cinema.
