Astronaut Tony Nelson (Larry Hagman) is asked to show Middle Eastern
Princess Tarji (Gila Golan) around, which proves to be a bit of a problem,
because there is a 3,000 year old blood feud between the Princess's family
and the family of Tony's very own genie Jeannie (Barbara Eden), and now
Jeannie wants to kill the princess. So after trying (and failing) to
wriggle out of the assignment, Tony makes up things he might want from
Jeannie (like flooding the Gobi Desert, covering the Seychelles in snow
and de-frosting Alaska) to keep her busy during the stay of the Princess
... It seems to work, and the time with the Princess is great enough for
him to almost fall in love with her, but newsflash after newsflash tell
Tony Jeannie gets all her assignments done ahead of schedule, and the
worst almost happens ... Now even if the solution of this story
(the Princess and Jeanny make up) is slightly disappointing and happens
off screen, this is a very entertaining episode, showing Barbara Eden and
Larry Hagman at their best, Hagman and Gila Golan having just the right
chemistry to bring that part of the story across, and a very good couple
of scenes for Hayden Rorke's Dr Bellows. If you at all like the series,
you'll probably love this one.
