Sara (Heather Dicke) and Ben (Brent Baird) have been scrambling for
money for quite some time now, what with them both being unemployed at the
moment, and now the landlord's (Rod McTaggart) already breathing down
their neck. But then Ben has the idea of ideas, to have them both test an
untested drug for quite some cash. It's really just taking one pill a day,
nothing else, and one gets paid in advance. What could possibly go wrong? Well,
nothing much, except for a bit of everything: Ben takes badly to the
drugs, they make him badly sick. With Sara though, they create a state of
euphoria that make her less and less content with Ben's naturally rather
passive attitude, only augmented by his reaction to the drug - and soon
tempers clash ... A really nice little horror movie with a
fittingly mean (yet well-structured) story brought to life by a subtle
directorial effort, a well-paced edit, and of course strong performances
from all involved. Definitely worth a look!
