Isabella (Liv Watkins) and Richard (Antony Watkins) have once been a
happy couple - well they must have been, otherwise they wouldn't have
moved in together. But they've probably already been past their best times
long before the lockdown has started, and now that they're forced to spend
time with each other 24/7 with nobody else to meet and forced to stay in
except for emergencies, they're really getting on each other's nerves,
with neither missing an opportunity to tease and/or reproach the other.
The question is though, how far will the two of them take it? Filmed
under strict isolation conditions - as in, self-shot by the couple on
screen - this is actually a pretty powerful drama about a relationship
gone bad by over-exposure to one another. But it's not so much what's in
the picture that tells the story, not so much the dialogue, but what's not
shown, what's hidden between the lines, what certain images might or might
not mean. So while on the surface, the story of this short might be
straight forward, it's really open to interpretation, thanks to both a
strong script and performances that have a depth to them, that tell more
than what's in the dialogue - which all makes this a pretty powerful
short.
