Kadaverficker apparently is one of the wildest necro-core bands of
Dortmund, Germany, and it has been in existence since 1993 - though in a
variety of constellations. And basically, what they enjoy to do is sex,
drugs and rock'n'roll - underground style! Now I have to admit,
I've never heard of Kadaverficker - which comes as little surprise as this
isn't exactly my style of music -, and I'm also less than sure whether
that's an actual documentary or a mockumentary - quite some aspects of the
movie indicate the latter, since there's virtually no music of the band
featured in the film till more than halfway through the movie, and even
then most songs are faded out of after less than a minute and they sound
like every other whatever-core band there is. Sure, late in the movie one
sees the band in a few live gigs, but nobody can say if they were actually
only set up for the film or the band was an authentic band. Again, the
lack of any of their music during the first half makes it impossible for
the uninitiated audience to connect with the band. To top it off, the
whole thing's connected by some comedy skits that ... well, their forced
humour doesn't come across all that well (especially due to the lack of
any real punchlines) and the rather painful attempts of the cast to play
especially drunk/stoned versions of themselves come across as just that -
rather painful attempts. That said, it must have been fun to make this
movie, and that does come through at times - but if you want to watch a
good documentary/funny mockumentary/learn anything about Kadaverficker ...
nope, not in this movie.
