The latest of Arthur's (Jerry Stiller) shenanigans almost gets his
son-in-law Doug (Kevin James) fired from his job, and in the argument that
ensues, Arthur threatens to move out of Doug's basement - a promise he
even makes true, much tot eh dismay of his daughter Carrie (Leah Remini),
who thinks she's abandoning him. But at Arthur's housewarming party, it
seems he's doing amazingly fine, and his new appartment looks great too,
so everything should be great, and everabody wins, right? Wrong, because
a few days later, Arthur confesses to Doug he simply cannot afford the
rent of his new place and wants to move back into his basement - which
causes Dug to have a fit of rage, in which he terribly insults Arthur -
but being the kind-hearted man he is, he lets him move back in in the end
after all. Despite a few narrative flaws (especially the
conciliatory ending that's not properly played out), this is a pretty
funny episode.
