After her cop brother (Bill Thornbury) is killed at a jewel heist, tough as nails bitch Angel Wolf (Melanie Vincz) takes it upon herself to investigate hid death, with nothing but a weird ninja star to go on. That ninja star however leads to a secret organisation, the followers of Golgotha, led by sinister Sin Do, otherwise known as Lee Chuck (Angus Scrimm), who a) has to kill a human being every day in order to stay alive, and b) seeks the second Eye of Avatar, as with both eyes he could rule the world. By some freak accident, the second eye lands in Angel's handbag, unbeknowest even to herself.

Soon though, with the help of Chinese detective Charles Chang (really) (Art Hern) she finds out how to get to Sin Do's hideout: Sin Do regularly holds fighting competitions to recruit new assassins (for some reason only females), but there's a catch: Sin Do will accept contestants only in groups of three, as to minimize the danger of spies. So Angel fetches her best friends, the white feathered Indian WhiteStar (Raven De La Croix) and the convict Heather (Angela Aames) - whom Angel put into the slammer the first place and who is seen catfighting the statuesque Whiplash (Angelique Pettyjohn) - and the 3 of them soon get a fare to Sin Do's secret futuristic island Golgotha.

There they do the typical training and fighting (gladiator style), and at night Angel and Heather do a little investigating while WhiteStar has caught the eye of Sion Do and soon is coaxed into having sex with him ...

But what of Angel's handbag with the Eye of Avatar ? Why she has forgotten to bring it, but her boyfriend Rick (Paul Dofous) is nice enough to charter a plane to Golgotha just to bring Angel's handbag ... but he is made a prisoner instead, and while Sin Do is quite happy about him bringing the Eye, he still throws Rick into the arena and picks Angel to kill him, and when she refuses, Sin Do chains her up and wants to make her the first victim of the doomsday machine he made out of the 2 eyes of Avatar. However, his time is running short, as he has only 5 more minutes to kill someone, otherwise his life will be ended ... and Heather and WhiteStar have since rallied the other girls behind them and started a revolt against Sin Do's evil reign ... but will they succeed?

This movie has pretty much everything you would expect from a cheap exploitation flick from the early 80's: big busted chicks with outrageous hairdos and no acting talent, weird ninjas, bad laser effects, a stupid story borrowing excessively from 1930's pulp fiction (above all the oriental menace-theme), Charlie's Angels, Enter the Dragon and I don't know what else, stupid dialogue, men in unconvincing ape-suits and above all robot spiders ("I hate robot spiders") ... which would be enough to make a bad movie, or to make a movie bad ... but for some reason, this film is extremely hilarious in its trashy way, maybe because it never pretends to be more than it is and at the same time is aware of its ridiculousness.

Recommended!
