It's really not that extraordinary a situation: Wandering the streets
of New York one night, William (Lukas Hassel), stumbles upon Sarah
(Cristina Doikos), a stranger to him, who tries to pick up her drunk
friend Katie (Robin Rose Singer) to drag her home, and he's nice enough a
guy to offer his help. Katie apparently feels rather drawn to William,
asks for kiss after kiss, and once he and Sarah have managed to drag her
home, maybe more, and he really is about to take advantage of Katie,
despite Sarah's worried to reproachful looks. But William also hears a
voice inside his head that gives him a totally different picture of what's
going on ... A creepy little film that manages to take a
totally ordinary "good Samaritan"-scenario and turn it onto its
head thanks to clever storytelling (including a creepy voice-over and a
few surprise plot twists), a subtle yet elegant enough directorial effort
to make this on surface rather average situation look good without giving
too much of its significance away until the end, and of course a great
cast. Totally worth a watch!
