When the old lady (voiced by Chad Meisenheimer) goes out for a few hours,
her two dogs Kenny (Gary Turner) and Zoey (Paytn Turner) decide to go
really wild - but then again, as the squirrell next door )Simon Watson)
points out, they're quite a bit removed from the wolves they have
originated from in terms of wildness, and they're basically as neurotic as
their ancestors in the wild would have been ... Now here's a film
that's bound to strike a chord with dog owners as it seems to capture the
very nature of dogkind as a species almost too well domesticated. And the
film does so in a fun way that feels like an anecdotal account of dog
shenanigans, told from the perspective of dogs. And the limited animation
employs here helps a lot to bring that point across, as it doesn't go for
the cuteness factor - which most of us are all too familiar with anyways
after watching a few too many dog videos on social media - but lets the
dogs tell their side of things. In all then, very good fun for sure!
