Allie (Lauren A. Kennedy) is an aspiring photographer who's about to
have her first exhibition. Her boyfriend Max (Mike Funk) unfortunately is
a deadbeat with a criminal past who enjoys nothing more than spending time
on the couch with a beer in his hand. But eventually, he does do a bit of
work - like stealing a really great camera from a guy (Drew Maniscalco) in
the park and bringing it home to Allie - not to give to her, but to ask
her to sell it for him on ebay. Allie takes the SD card out of the camera
to check it on her computer - and find that the owner has documented a
murder he has committed on his camera. Now that's bad, but what's worse is
that the same man has tracked down Max and is actually presently entering
the building he and Allie live in ... It might not become
terribly clear from above synopsis, but Photokill is a comedy - and
a hilarious one, too, as it really manages to milk its story's humour just
right, especially that sort of humour that's just so wrong it's funny,
while at the same time placing its suspense and shock scenes just right,
for a deliciously macabre experience. Worth a watch for sure!
