Lucy (Samantha Keller) seems to have caught something that weakens her
to the point where she can hardly walk anymore and makes her throw up
almost constantly. And if it wasn't for her partner Jonathan (Rami Hilmi),
who knows how she would have ended up. No really, one could almost call
Jonathan the epitomy of the caring and loving husband, the way he takes
care of her ... "almost" of course, because the pills he's
giving her to make her feel better are actually not all they seem, the
food he cooks her selflessly is actually drugged, and he spends the time
she's throwing up in the bathroom manipulating her mobile phone. Sure,
she'll find out eventually - but it might already be much too late ... Sure,
this is not a film made up from pretty pictures - but if you can live
through seeing a woman going from bad to worse throwing up almost
constantly along the way, you'll find this to be a wonderful
psychothriller miniature, restricted in locations and cast maybe but
getting the most out of what's at hand, thanks to a well-structured
script, a directorial effort that despite massive puking manages to stay
subtle and on the plot, and a robust pair of actors who have just the
right chemistry to pull the story off. Totally worth a look!
