Christopher Shearer (Daniel Cano), a unsuccessful writer has decided to turn documentary filmmaker, and chosen the production company Quad X as the topic of his first movie - Quad X being of course a porn company. The company is home to all sorts of unique people, like company owner and main star Ginger Snap (Terissa Kelton), who also tries to be a good mother and tries to have a relationship with her neighbour (Ryan McKenna), who has no idea what she's doing, like the Russian director (Will McKenna), who falls in love with one of his actresses (Elena Weinberg) and now only uses her in solo scenes, like that actress's sister (Elena Weinberg again), who has gotten pregnant again and has no idea from whom, like the production assistant (Derek Babb) who has problems coming out as gay even though everybody on set has long guessed, like the school teacher (Vanessa Vayle Perry) who has initially invited Ginger to reprimand her about her lifestyle but has ultimately decided to go into porn as well, like Beaver Slayer (Colby Wallingsford), the porn star with a really big penis who passes out whenever he gets an erection because of the bloodloss in his brain, like the desperate aging porn actor (Marc Wasserman), who'd literally do anything to stay in the business, like the suicidal DP (Duncan Coe), whose existence nobody even acknowledges, and of course the trio of writers who only work at a porn company ... because they aren't really that good writers. And then there's of course Cherrie Pie (Ariane Powell), an ex-pornstar "saved" by Jerry the Christian (Mike Williams) - and while she now tries to "save" her former colleagues (or shut down their business), she also has massive problems keeping her clothes on in front of a camera ...

Quad X: Rise of the Beaver Slayer is above all else great fun, a mockumentary that gets it right, populating it's film with colourful characters rather than cheap jokes, avoids toilet humour despite the movie's obviously sleazy subject matter - heck, it even avoids on-screen nudity, in the most hilarious way -, outbalances crude jokes with well-executed situation comedy, and social satire even, manages to bring every subplot to an entertaining close (even if a sequel, Quad X: The Porn Movie Massacre, was shot back to back with this one), and above all, remain entertaining throughout!

Great fun, really!
