Little Lucy (Gracie Whitton) screams the house down every night. She
claims there's a monster called Rawhead in her closet ... but that's of
course only some baseless fear fueled by some urban legends she has heard
at school - well, at least that's what her parents (Lance Eakright, April
Hartman) think. But they begin to worry all the same, because it seems
Rawhead is consuming all her thoughts. Even when she plays with her dolls,
it has something to do with Rawhead. But if the parents are a bit on the
clueless side now, they're even more so when Rawhead actually shows up ... Rawhead
is really a nice little horror miniature of the "monster in the
closet"-kind you might think you've seen a hundred times before -
until it takes a completely unexpected twists and introduces something new
into the formula. And add to this a stylish and tense directorial effort,
a competent cast and a really effective monster, and you're in for nine or
so minutes of really nice genre entertainment. ...
