Ethan (Richard Rondo) has been suffering from PTSD ever since he was
caught inside a burning building (in flashbacks played by Partick Bippus).
Sure, back then he has come out of the situation physically unscathed, but
ever since he's been suffering from panic attacks that sometimes prevent
him from leaving his apartment even. Only recently, he has decided to try
out a self help group, where for the first time he talks about his
condition to strangers - and initially he has the feeling it hasn't helped
him in the slightest. But at least he has become friends with Bear (Damon
Waters), and older man who sees something special in him. And during his
next panic attack, Ethan remembers Bear's number ...
A very powerful film, not only because of its positive message, but also
because it makes its central topic, PTSD, palpable by using a flashback to
the triggering moments in an imaginative way that's both character- and
story-based. Now add to that a solid cast and a slick directorial effort,
and you've got yourself a very worthwhile movie.
