When Tim's (Simon Pegg) new girlfriend Sophie (Lucy Akhurst) cancels
one of their dates because she has to work late (with Tim interprets as she's
sleeping with her boss) he decides to go out with Daisy (Jessica Stevenson)
somewhere in Camden, whjere they get royally drunk & stoned ... but then
Daisy is chatted up by Duane (Peter Serafinowicz), the man who once stole Tim's
girlfriend - much to Tim's dismay of course, & he & Daisy leave the bar
in a hurry, with Tim even forgetting his keys - which Duane, very maturely,
throws onto the next passing truck. On their way to the next pub, Tim &
Daisy get mugged by a gang of marihuana-starved youngsters (led by Lee
Ingleby), but erroneously, Daisy hands them her oregano she has intended for a
stew she's gonna make later on ... When the youn gsters detect the error, they
manage to corner up Tim & Daisy again to seriously beat them up, but Tim
& Daisy use male telepathy to get out of this one - which means every time
one man pretends to shoot a (non-existent) gun at another one, the other one
feels the unrepressable urge to pretend to be hit - a concept which was
established earlier in the episode ... & try it out, it really works. Tim
& Daisy can escape before the youngsters notice they have been tricked,
& in wild chase they hit the car of Duane, & decide to beat him up
instead ... When Tim & Daisy arrive home, miraculously their dog has
found Tim's key (that had fallen from the truck right onto their doorstep. Now
Daisy can make stew for everybody with oregano ... at lkeast something that
looks like oregano. Despite the introduction of male telepathy, this
is only a mildly amusing episode, due to the lack of a real stringent story.
