In his human form, Takuya (Shinji Todou) meets Hisao, a 9 year-old
talented artist who is to fly to New York to have his peace-themed
painting exhibited at the U.N., but also a boy who refuses to talk about
his father, because he thinks dad has let him down. As Spider-Man, Takuya
saves an Interpol agent, Tsuda, from being executed by the Iron Cross
Army, but while they are still making good their escape, Tsuda is fatally
wounded. When Spidey learns though that Tsuda is actually the father of
Hisao who has left his son after the Iron Cross Army has killed his wife
to avenge her death, Spidey vows to bring Tsuda to the airport before he
dies to bid farewell to his son. Tsuda dies seeing his son's airplane
leaving for New York ... The story of this episode is totally
forgettable, so what remains are a few chases (also per train and
helicopter) and fight scenes that range from sloppy to fun, but are
nothing too special. Well, at least the guest monster, a blend of buffalo
and tank, looks really cool, but too little use is made of it,
unfortunately.
