Plotting an escape from female-run planet Medusa, where she and her
colleague Rudi (Christian Quadflieg) are held as hostages, Liz (Lisa
Harrow) applies for a job as space pilot. Of course, Octavia (Christiane
Krüger), chief of security on Medusa, sees through Liz's plot right away
and tries to sabotage her efforts to become a pilot from square one, but
to no avail - and what's worse, Clara (Dawn Addams), supreme ruler of
Medusa, doesn't seem to share Octavia's lack of trust, and instead
supports Liz's attempts to get a spaceship command any which way possible. Finally,
Liz and Rudi are on their first test flight through outer space, and when
earth is already in arm's reach, they think they have made it - when they
notice they are pretty much held on a leash, as their spaceship can be
remote controlled from Medusa - which is the one and only reason that
Clara had supported Liz all the way. Remorseful, Liz and Rudi return to
Medusa. The futuristic pseudo pop art sets representing Medusa
are of course lots of fun as always - but that said, Christian Quadflieg
and Lisa Harrow, who carry this episode, are not among the better actors
in the series, and their characters are only remotely interesting. Still,
the whole thing is a bit of mindless fun ...
