Saki (Yoko Minamino) is tasked with warning another students president
of yet another high school, Miki (Akiko Suzuki) of the threat of evil
organisation Seiroukai, but by now she has it up to here as she knows her
mentor Nishiwaki (Keizo Kanie) is keeping information about her father
from her, and thus she decides to quit. Meanwhile, Seiroukai's leader Kage
no Soto (Naoto Nagashima) orders one of his men, Kuroda, to win over Miki
and her school for the organisation's cause, and Kuroda has a plan to use
Saki to drive Miki into Seiroukai's arms. So he has her bitten by vampiric
Namera, and once bitten, Namera's victims can be mind controled by a
certain type of flute playing. As a result, Saki pays a visit to Miki only
to viciously attack her, and it's only because Saki's grossly outnumbered
by the entire student body of Miki's scholl that Saki can't do any real
damage - but as a result, Miki lends an even more open ear to Kuroda and
Seiroukai. Then Saki's sidekicks Yukino (Akie Yoshizawa) and Okyo (Haruko
Sagara) show up at Miki's school, and at first they're treated like
enemies - until they promise to fight Saki, who's obviously gone rogue, by
Miki's side. But facing Saki, she almost kills Yukino and Okyo and it's
only luck that they get away - to run into Miki, who has by now found out
that Saki's controlled by Namera and promises to help Yukino and Okyo to
get their friend back, even bringing an antidote to Namera's spell. But in
the final fight, the bottle carrying the antidote is destroyed, and
ultimately it's a good luck charm given to her by Yukino that helps Saki
remember who she really is, and that breaks the spell. And Miki now vows
to help Saki in her efforts to defeat Seiroukai ...
A double-episode that moves deep into horror territory - which
is something that goes surprisingly well with the premise, even if (or
maybe because) the episode's not entirely camp-free. But some atmospheric
sequences paired with the fight scenes, for a change between Saki and her
best friends, make this one a really fun entry into the series.
