He has left the corporate world (as in being fired) two years ago, he has been kicked out by his wife (Aleksandra Voronina), he sleeps under a bridge ... but he has big dreams - and since he has found a documentary filmmaker who's interested in his story, he tries to make them all come true, too. So he tries himself as a musician, an actor, a celebrity journalist, and what not, though with not all that much success, on one side because his talent doesn't necessarily live up to his enthusiasm, on the other hand he tries to get into the panties of every woman he meets (so much so that in an audition he's at he suggests to turn a gay drama into hetero porn just because he fancies the female producer [Eliza St John]), but is more than a bit clumsy at flirting (note: Showing a woman you've got a condom to start a conversation is not necessarily leading to success with the ladies, even if it does show you're a responsible dude). But however often he might go wrong, Rafael is not one to let anything deter him ...<p> <p>Filmed as a mock documentary, <b>Adventures of a Happy Homeless Man</b> is actually first and foremost a feelgood movie - and having said that, that's also a total representation of the film, as it does have its edgy moments, does feature some winkingly offensive jokes, plenty of sexual innuendo, and is certainly not trying to hold back with anything - but it's built around the Bobo the Hobo character that despite being a total loser (according to popular opinion) is also so winning and so interesting you can't help feeling for and rooting for the guy, thanks to a very empathetic direction and of course also Felino Dolloso's performance.
