A woman (Charlie Clarke) hears a sound from the attic, and fearlessly
she ascends the stairs to have a look what it could have been - and finds
a case she has never seen before bound close with leather straps. When the
case makes a sudden move, she is at first scared shitless - but soon
summons enough courage to loosen the straps and open the case ... after
all, what kind of threat could be in that small a case? Thing is, since
when was it a good idea to open a mysterious case in the attic? Ok,
storywise Ganger is a tad on the slim side (but then again it's
roughly 4 minutes long) - but that said, it's a great genre miniature,
maybe skeletal in story but high on atmosphere, and it uses a full
cinematic toolbox to make the most out of the very limited sets, and some
storytelling wit to give this one a twist ending, too. If you like your
horrors short, or just want to be creeped out a bit, this one's definitely
the short to see!
