Ever since his girlfriend Ivy (Gita Amely) has left him, Rick (Dan
Shaked) hasn't left his apartment, and has lived on alcohol mostly -
something that has started to worry his friends and neighbours, so much so
that three of them (Zach Cohen, Einav Markel, Debbie Levin) have decided
to host an intervention. But the world is not as black and white as it
seems, and their motives to get him out of the apratment might not be as
pure as they seem, and his reasons for staying in are grounded in more than
just heartbreak ... A very well-made psycho-drama that
initially seems to walk very well-trodden paths, narratively - until it
quite simply doesn't. But clever writing, grounded performances, and a
directorial effort that shows just enough to piece a story together a
certain way work wonders to decieve the audience and award them with a
welcome reveal. And the result is a fun genre ride for sure. If
this has at all gotten you interested, Ivy will be released May 1st 2021
on demand at http://angermandistribution.com/
