Somehow this seems to be a recipe for disaster from the get-go ... and these expectations are not disappointed - and that's even before Rita suddenly disappears, and all the search parties Joel sends out to track her down come back empty handed. But while the others are out, Meigan makes a visit to the attic and finds a tape recorder that shows the cabin's very dark past: It was once a mental institution, but one that had a very bad reputation, and deservedly so.
