Your upcoming movie The Demoness - in a few words, what's it going to be about?

The Demoness is a very dark horror fantasy project about a demonic succubus who visits Earth to torment the human race. After the opening scenes of the film, the demoness gains the ability to transform into a human at will so she can blend in and create more havoc, with people not suspecting who she is.

What were your sources of inspiration when writing The Demoness?

My biggest sources of inspiration when writing The Demoness were 80s horror classics like Hellraiser and A Nightmare on Elm Street. Additionally, the Terrifier films which I think are brilliant were a huge inspiration. I saw the third one when it came out and it really is a masterclass in horror filmmaking. The cinematography, acting, story, sound design, soundtrack etc. all combine for a depraved masterpiece . When I wrote The Demoness, I listened to a lot of horror soundtracks like the aforementioned films as well those of Child’s Play and Halloween.

What can you tell us about your movie's approach to horror?

I’d say even now at this pre-production phase when it comes to the script, casting work etc. is that I am working hard to make an extremely twisted film. I think some of the quality of the film will come from who we are able to cast as the lead too. I think like my last film The Seductress from Hell, there’s also an element of satire to the script I wrote. Additionally, it also examines the horror that human beings are capable of as the demoness isn’t the only villain in the film and a lot of supporting characters are very flawed.

Do talk about The Demoness's intended look and feel?

I would say 80s horror films first come to mind. Whether it’s the aforementioned films or the Maniac Cop series which I also love, my goal is to have a look to the film that blends a retro look as well as somewhat of a modern look to create something truly special and unique. I’ll be working again with Elezeid, the composer who scored my last film The Seductress from Hell as well as my TV series The Twisted Doll (thanks again for watching both Michael) to have a really unique and memorable soundtrack.

Anything you can tell us about The Demoness's tentative cast yet?

I’d love to tell you about the cast! We’ve thankfully brought quite a few actors on board, both ones I’ve worked with and others I haven’t:

  • Will Roberts (Oppenheimer) as a police officer. He was in my show The Twisted Doll as well.
  • Bella Glanville (Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning) as Sarah Lallana, a disillusioned young British housewife living in LA.
  • Lara Shah (NBC’s Quantum Leap) as Priya Patel, a mysterious Indian woman that lives next door to the demoness.
  • Austin St. John (the original Red Power Ranger) as Satan.
  • Jason Faunt (Resident Evil: Vendetta, Power Rangers Time Force) as Derek, a film producer the demoness meets at a club. Jason was the male lead in my last film The Seductress from Hell.
  • Xander Bailey (Beckman) as Jack, Sarah’s angry husband. Xander played Pouya in The Twisted Doll.

As far as I know, you're planning to run a fundraiser for The Demoness - so do talk about your campaign for a bit!

Appreciate the question re the campaign :) We’re planning to launch it in about three weeks and are hopeful we will be successful. Our goal is to raise $90,000 on IndieGoGo and time will tell whether we can do it.

Once the budget's in place, what's the schedule?

Our goal is to film sometime this summer, but this also depends on other factors, including financing, cast schedules, location availability etc.

It might be much to early to ask, but any idea when and where The Demoness might be released yet?

It’s not too early to ask actually, but we’re hoping to release it on Halloween 2026 in a limited theatrical release followed by a release on streaming.

Any future projects beyond The Demoness?

Right now I'm focusing completely on this to fully maximize its potential but I do have several feature screenplays that I hope to make one day.

Just One Drink is a script I wrote which is based on the short film of the same name (which starred Barbara Nedeljakova from Hostel and scored a 100% critic score on Rotten Tomatoes). I hope to make it one day as well as a live action Santa Claus film.
