Your new movie The Arkansas Pigman Massacre - in a few words, what's it about, and what can you tell us about your character in it?

I’m playing this character, big brother Dylan, who’s a bit of a douche, giving his sister a ride on the way to some tacky gig with his band that no one’s heard of. I also get to be the Pigman for a few scenes, which was really fun.

What did you draw upon to bring your character to life, and how much Dante B. Salazar can we find in Dylan?

Well, I’m not a singer, but I do like the band look, so I brought some of that into the character. Then I just played on the delusion of being someone I’m not.

For the Pigman, I definitely went full Jason Voorhees mode, that was way fun.

How did you get involved with the project in the first place, what drew you to it?

The director reached out after I did a small role in Don’t Make a Sound, and I thought, "Hell yes!"

To what extent could you identify with The Arkansas Pigman Massacre's approach to horror?

I mean, it’s slasher, but make it a forest with kids. So, it’s a bit disturbing, and the fact that it’s based on an urban legend definitely adds to it.

What can you tell us about The Arkansas Pigman Massacre's director Jt Kris, and what was your collaboration like?

Really down-to-earth and easy to work with. He gave me a lot of freedom and allowed me to kind of make it my own.

With The Arkansas Pigman Massacre having been mostly filmed in the woods - what was it like filming there, and do you at all consider yourself an outdoorsy kind of guy?

I love being outdoors, forests are a great location. Although being dragged around in the bushes, trees, and on the ground was definitely intense.

Do talk about the shoot as such, and the on-set atmosphere!

The atmosphere in a forest is always a great place to be. The lights and sounds always make me think of The Blair Witch Project.

Any future projects you'd like to share?

Coming up is a short movie Amityville Killer, which will be part of the anthology Amityverse by SRS Cinema LLC.
