What got you
into acting in the first place, and did your receive any formal training
on the subject? I was working
with a agent in NYC sending me out to all kinds or catalog, Jewry, erotic
book covers, comic drawings, lingerie and primary extra TV parts. It was
long and not really fulfilling, and most companies were about what will you do
to get this job! I met someone on a TV shoot in the waiting area. We got
to talking. I was told about a agent that did more erotic type stuff. Met
with him the very next week. He had me working almost every day of the
week with men's magazine and erotic film companies. I found that these
companies were also less sleazy! Lol! Who would have thought! Formal training
was not a requirement at all - lol!
Even
though you might be better known for your erotic films, you have returned
to the horror genre time and again during the course of your career. Is
that a genre at all dear to you, and why?
I
guess the fact is the majority of horror films have some sort of erotic scenes
in them nowadays. They don't hire women that don't show a little skin
and some that will do the soft-core act! Sex sells, right? I have always
been a sci-fi and horror junky. I attended many conventions even before I
starred in anything and still do. My office is filled with autographs,
collectibles and posters. So horror is very dear to me. The
filming is a lot longer days and a lot more fun. Even when I am covered in
so much syrupy blood, dirt and mess. You have appeared in the nude in quite a
number of your films. Has on-camera nudity ever been a problem for you,
and can you still remember your first nude shoot?
Never!
I guess when you're comfortable with the people you're working with and
they're more concerned with lighting and equipment it's not a thought. Plus
even when I was a kid I hated clothes! You
have also been in quite a few adult situations in your movies. Where do
you draw the line? No MEN
that I am not romantically involved with at the time and only soft-core,
and no women I am not already sexually involved with. Lol! You first shot to fame with a handful
of films you did with John Bacchus, beginning with Girl Explores Girl:
The Alien Encounter and of course Erotic
Witch Project - what can you tell us about these movies and
working with John Bacchus, with whom you've collaborated quite a bit over
the years, as such?
These
first few movies were probably the best times of my early days. Working
with John is a blast every time. We became great fiends over the years and
still are. We actually started production company together. Many or our
movies are on PPV, ShowTime, In Demand, VOD hot movies and distributed for
sale all over the major sites. Here is a link to check some of the movies
out: http://mvdb2b.com/?site_id=label&vendor=PURGATORY As fate has it, you have also been
in one of my all-time favourite films, Gladiatior
Eroticus - so you just have to talk about that one for a bit! WOW!
I have many things to say about the behind scenes on this film. We shot
this up in PA at a very old farm house. It was about 2 hours from where I
live. I was driving the first few days to and fro because a friend of
mine was in the hospital. The day I decided to stay over John Fedele
decided to go home that night with everything I owned. John Bacchus had to
take me out to get clothes and stuff to shower and clean up with. Wow! Fist
argument with my life time friend, lol! Second fight with John Bacchus.
Shooting the scene where I beat up a bunch of people dressed up in stuffed
animal costume, one of which was John Bacchus. Well I am a lefty and there
was a little confusion on which way I was going to throw a punch! Yeah,
didn't go over well. LOL! And last but not least they dubbed my voice with
a commercial voice over. Not saying she was bad, she was great, just not me.
Shot on real film and sound a complete mess. I still had a great time
working with some of my favorite castmembers. You
have appeared in a myriad of erotic parodies of popular films - your take
on the genre as such ... and how much fun is it to play/spoof characters
like Batman?
These
films were amazing fun and laughs. Some shoots we could not get through a
full scene without constant laughter by everyone involved. Some films we
had to play several different roles because there weren't enough people. I
was the horse's ass end in Mistress
Frankenstein (the same horse I the mistress crashed into a tree with). BatBabe was to date my all time
favorite parody to shoot first to only Mistress
Frankenstein and Gladiator
Eroticus. Like
most John Bacchus films the script was in a round-about what to say. In other
word this is what I need you to get out of this scene. Improv! That is
where all the laughs begin. If you get the whole cast and crew to laugh
you did it right, if not do it again. Shooting in NYC and other populated
areas - if I was not wearing a mask I think I would have fumbled more than I
did. On
screen, you're usually hilarious ... so what can you tell us about your
sense of humour in private life? I
am a very blunt, to-the-point person, which is normally funny. I am not
afraid of all making an ass of myself to make friends and family laugh,
and sometimes just about anyone. I once [click
here] called you and A.J. Khan the "Laurel
and Hardy of erotica", which was meant as a compliment of
course (and most certainly has nothing to do with your looks) - a comment
you can at all live with?
I
think AJ would say the same: THANK YOU for that! We work the best out of
all on playing off each other. If you didn't think that we would not be
doing or jobs or be us! Of late, you've appeared in
quite a few horror/action movies directed by Len Kabasinski [Len
Kabasinski interview - click here] - Curse of
the Wolf, Fist of
the Vampire, Warriors of the Apocalypse and Ninja:
Prophecy of Death. Now how did you first hook up with him, and what
are your collaborations usually like? Len
got a hold of me through I believe MySpace. I liked what he was doing. It
was rare for me to jump on a role or company I didn't know much about. He
was working with a few cast members I had not been in touch with since the
early convention circuit. Like the Blue Meanie. I also liked the fact that
he was into martial arts since I always enjoyed the parodies with a
little action and athleticism. Covered in blood and special effects made
it even more appealing. I wanted in! He knew of what I could do and what I
was about and was good at writing my role around me. I like hat a lot.
John Bacchus did the same thing. I meet some wonderful people and fell in
love with Len's ideas as time went on. It was always like a vacation
shooting in Erie. He also pushed me like no directer has and let me push
myself. He is a great guy and a friend I will always keep.
Is it true that in
Len Kabasinski's rather action-heavy films you perform your own stunts,
and do you have any training in stunting? Yes it is! I did always perform my own stunts. Len was really great at
training his cast and always takes that extra step to make sure it is very
real. On the last film I did with him I took a few classes to get my
endurance up and get some punches, kicks and combination skills.
There is one
film of yours you have to talk about simply because of the outrageousness
of its title: Orgasm Torture in Satan's Rape Clinic! This
was all over the place. LOL! Shot in a industrial/living building in NJ. I
believe it was Tina Krause's place [Tina
Krause interview - click here]. Had no Idea at the time what it was
called or what it was about. That's how all Bill Hellfire's films were [William
Hellfire interview - click here]. He
is a master at dark, borderline-pushing writing/directing. If you're game!
I enjoyed working with him because you don't know what or how things will
go. A great guy too! You have
only recently starred in Robert Noel Gifford's The Death Hours. Why
don't you talk about that movie and your character in it for a bit? I
am guessing you're talking about the film Dead Dolls [I guess ...]
by Robert Noel Gifford. I did this film with him in Long Island, NY. A
really creepy doll gets shipped to my house and kills me. Story about the
doll is it comes to life with innocent blood to right the wrong to those
who hurt you in your life. This doll was really creepy freaked me out!
Robert is great to work. I am sure there will be more from him, he's got
great ideas and creativity.
Any
other films of yours you'd like to talk about, any future projects you'd
like to share?
I do have my
production company Bovine Studios with Purgatory Films up and running.
It's
more on the Darkside Vixens line or adult Erotica. Some of the films
here: http://mvdb2b.com/?site_id=label&vendor=PURGATORY
I am enjoying being behind the scenes and never thought I would. I will
still be attending as a guest at conventions to get these films out there
and enjoying talking with fans and making new ones.
How would you describe yourself as an
actress? Erotic/horror/try
anything once! Not sure if that's an actress! LOL!
