Your upcoming movie Axeman 2: Overkill - in a few words, what's it going to be about, and what can you tell us about your character in it?

It's an 80's style horror flick with lots of humor, gory kills and fun dialog. The character Fannie Rae Baker who I play is seemingly well-intended conservative evangelical do gooder hiking through a place called Cutler’s Creek for a couple’s Christian camp where the film takes place.

How much of Fannie Rae Baker, the über-biblethumper, do you find in yourself, and what will you draw upon to bring your character to life?

When getting in character for Fannie, I will draw upon the overbearing beat the bible over your head mentality that others mention or think of when thinking “Über Bible Thumper”. Getting a little radical about the bible and taking the words farther than the way God intended. I’ve been around all sorts of Christianity growing up and this leads me to feeling content with researching and playing the role of Fannie perfectly.

How did you get hooked up with the project in the first place?

Direct via the coordinators of this project through email, as most roles get pitched to me that way. I was more compelled to do this role because of the story line including Christianity and horror, not to mention I like that my character is a wife as well. This was a character I could see myself having personal growth with.

What can you tell us about your director Joston Theney [Joston Theney interview - click here], and what is your collaboration like so far?

Joston’s first love is horror, so I know this will be an impactful film in horror history. Fans of horror will equally make Axeman 2: Overkill one to remember. The collaboration thus far has been easy, keeping things simple and focused is what this production crew seems to be about. I like that the drama is kept for horror fans on the big screen and not on set.

As far as I know, the film's still in pre-production as we speak - so how do you prepare for the shoot?

Practicing lines with the cast is the most important part to me and let’s not forget reciting lines for a couple hours in front of the mirror which I don’t mind ;) The designers, wardrobe, hair and makeup finish the rest of the look with clothing and makeup. Usually I’m the one in charge of over-seeing the finished look, I’m glad I only have to focus on the tone and Fannies’s character being portrayed through myself.

Any future projects beyond Axeman 2: Overkill you'd like to share?

Currently working on other supporting character roles that are not horror-based films, details to come.

Since Axeman 2: Overkill is your feature film debut - what got you into acting in the first place, what can you tell us about your previous acting experiences, and did you receive any formal training on the subject?

I got into acting when I took part in a play in grade school when I played the female main character role and my male main character supporting my part forgot his lines so I had to apply improv to help my fellow young actor smoothly complete the scene in the middle of the play. From there show choir helped me continue performing in front of audiences and many other acting, dancing, and singing activities I took part in. I continue to develop my acting abilities so that now I am ready to play characters that challenge my emotions. I will always be open-minded to having an acting coach help me for a specific role to really have a focus to WOW others who will be watching the characters I play in their anticipated future feature films.

Even though I'm sure you're tired of being asked about it - a few words about Teen Mom and your involvement in it?

Teen Mom was great for me to be apart of, I did it for the right reasons of showing that teen parents can overcome the struggles and hardships and continue to make a bright future for their families, I was happy to show my faults through the transitioning ages of 16 to 23 years old as watching all the seasons helped me become the best parent I can be currently. I was happy to make a successful reality TV spin-off show from 16 & Pregnant and take part in many more reality shows from there.

Other career highlights you want to share?

I think becoming my own brand as "Teen Mom" came to an end, a persona outside of being a stereo typed teen mom was an unexpected highlight in my career.

Actresses (and indeed actors) who inspire you?

I was inspired at a young age by Jim Carrey, Shirley Temple, Jaime Presley, Farrah Fawcett, Sophia Loren, Sandra Bullock, and Angelina Jolie. Cameron Diaz.

Your favourite movies?

Some notables: Silence of the Lambs, Saw 1, Ace Ventura Pet Detective, and The Breakup.

... and of course, films you really deplore?

The Hangover, Nebraska, others similar to the sort.
