Your new movie Grace of God - in a few words, what's it
about, and what can you tell us about your character in it?
It’s about a cult called Children of Light, and I play Grace. She’s a
girl growing up inside the cult and starts realizing things aren’t as
perfect as they seem
What did you draw upon to bring your character to life, and how
much Junie Liv Thomasson can we find Grace?
Well, she’s a 13-year-old girl just like me, but our lives are
totally different. We really have nothing in common besides being 13,
so I tried imagining what it would actually be like growing up in a
cult and how that would affect someone.
How did you get involved with the project in the first place, what
drew you to it? I wanted to do something different from what I’d done before. It’s
more drama and psychological horror instead of a slasher movie, which
was really exciting to me.
Too what extent could you identify with Grace of God's
approach to horror?
I actually like that type of horror more, like Hereditary
or Midsommar. I like horror that’s more psychological and dramatic
instead of just super bloody.
Grace of God once again sees you directed by your dad Jt
Kris, and what was your collaboration like?
It’s honestly really easy because he knows me so well, and I know
him. I think it helps a lot when you’re comfortable with the director
and can trust them. What can you tell us about your previous collaborations with your
dad? There have been so many at this point, haha! We’ve worked together a
lot, and I feel like every project gets better and better.

Back to Grace of God: Do talk about the shoot as such,
and the on-set atmosphere!
It was so much fun. The atmosphere on set was mostly joking around
and laughing between scenes. I even got to learn prayers and I do
remember having one really bad day, and the actress who played my mom
was so sweet and really helped cheer me up. And the actress who played
Ester was amazing, I loved working with her. We laughed so much and
had to do a bunch of retakes because of it.
Any future projects you'd like to share?
I have a role in a scary anthology movie coming out later this
year, I think! But right now I’m honestly enjoying having a little break
from filming and don't have anything planned to film for once.
Thanks for the interview! Thank you for having me.
