Your upcoming movie Deep Shock - in a few words, what is it going to be about, and what can you tell us about your character?

It's the story of Sarah, completely overwhelmed by the deaths of her grandparents and sister, who becomes trapped in a strange journey of apparitions and murders, apparently caused by her mind. Aided by his sister Caroline, the priest Jonah and the psychologist Jonah Marius Silver, she will attempt to solve this dark and intrigued mystery...

To what extent can you relate to playing a priest, and do you consider yourself at all a religious person? And what will you draw upon to bring such a character to life?

If anything, I can relate to a priest in real life ... I don’t consider myself religious, but I have experience in this role: it’s the third time I will play one, although they are different each other.

Deep Shock's horror theme - something you can at all relate to?

It is a tribute to the Italian “giallo” and in particular to Dario Argento (Deep Red) and Mario Bava (Shock). It’s the intention of the director to recreate the suspense of some 70’s Italian films, using new technologies (3D, special effects, etc.).

How did you get involved with the project to begin with, and what can you tell us about your director Davide Melini [Davide Melini interview - click here]?

It was a little bit difficult for me in the beginning, because I've never shot a movie in English. But after, when I read the script, I was hooked. The director has a special sensitivity and ability in this genre.

Any future projects beyond Deep Shock you'd like to share?

I have two feature film projects and a TV series… but I can’t talk too much about them…

What got you into acting to begin with, and did you receive any formal training on the subject?

It’s something I've loved since I was a kid. I’ve studied interpretation for 5 years with professor and director Manuel España and I did several film courses and acting in front of the camera.

Can you still remember your first time in front of a movie or TV camera, and what was that experience like?

Yes, it was in a TV series and I’ve been very surprised about it. My first experiences were in the theater and I have to say that working in a TV series is completely different. I love both of them.

What can you tell us about your film- and TV-work prior to Deep Shock?

I’ve worked in several movies and many TV series… the most important role I did it was in Las Hijas de Danao by Fran Kapilla. This was my first lead in a feature film.

Over the years, you've also done quite some stagework, right? So what can you tell us about your career as a stage actor, and how does performing on stage compare to acting in front of a camera?

Yes, I've worked in theater for several years and it’s completely different: Nothing to do with movies or TV series, where you can repeat a scene.

Actors (and indeed actresses) who inspire you?

Oh, too many names… if I started to list all of them, I could not finish this interview, hahaha.

Your favourite movies?

I love so many movies that it’s impossible to select just a few.

... and of course, films you really deplore?

Hahahha, many of them…

Anything else you are dying to mention and I have merely forgotten to ask?
