After a total black-out the night before, a woman (Melanie Denholme)
finds herself at her place with a naked man (whom the audience never gets
to see though for no reason at all). Apparently the guy has a magic penis,
as when the woman wants to jerk him off, she gets a jolt that sends her
flying through the air and landing on her butt ... and it also makes her
incredibly horny, so she's quick to get naked and shag the stranger. As he
has a magic penis, that makes her collapse, and when she comes to - well,
she doesn't come to, it's a demon who has taken over her body. The demon
is rather confused, and for some reason tries to slap the living shit out
of its host body (still naked) in one of the movie's funniest scenes, then
though it discovers it likes to wear sexy lingerie. Then she/it shags the
stranger some more and somehow figures she has to punish all men. Cut to a
torture chamber where the possessed woman and two other women (Berani Ego,
Julie Sitemba) shag men, ride their faces, castrate and torture them and
then wrap them up in plastic ... for some reason or other. The
third movie Philip Gardiner in his Aquinas-guise made with his erstwhile
Melanie Denholme is also the weakest: While Anna:
Scream Queen Killer had an experimental tinge to it (even if not
100% successful) and Dark
Satanic Magick worked at least as so-so softcore porn (albeit
pretentious for all the wrong reasons, Ancient Demon Succubi, a
watered down rework of Dark
Satanic Magick's already paperthin plot, is more or less a piece
of nothing, mainly there to show off Denholme in her naked beauty
wandering around some cabin while taking shortcuts with everything else,
not only plot but also the fact that her co-stat in the film's first 50 or
so minutes is never shown. And even good Melanie, a usually very
dependable actress, can't save that one, as her character ... well, she
doesn't even play a character, she's just the girl who's naked a lot, and
when she isn't she's at least not wearing a lot. And the dreadful, if
sometimes hysterically funny dialogue doesn't help either. And when the
torture scenes start (for no apparent narrative reason) one can't help but
notice how Philip Gardiner desperately tries to shock the audience ... but
then never dares to really go all the way, always stopping short instead
of pushing the envelope and ultimately only alluding to such things that
have been shown in other movies before, most prominently maybe in the
films of Joe D'Amato of the late 1970s and early 80s that were never short
of castrations, full frontal nudity and even explicit sex. In all, a
rather boring and disappointing affair quite honestly.
