Pablo (Ray
Santiago) and Kelly (Dana DeLorenzo) arrive just in time to break up the
fight between good and evil Ash (Bruce Campbell) [see last
episode], and figure who's the fake Ash as he's even more
moronic than the real one and shoot him. But just as Ash is going to saw
up his double and the body of Amanda (Jill
Marie Jones) to keep them from coming back, a trio of hapless campers
(Samara Weaving, Indiana Evans, Ido Drent) arrive at the cabin asking for
abode - and Ash and company decide to rather accompany them out of the
woods than let them stay, because in the cabin they would just get
massacred - which turns out to be not such a good idea anyhow, as while
our heroes still discuss what to do with the campers Amanda has turned
into a deadite, and she catches up with the campers on their way back to
civilization and kills all but one (Weaving). Then Ruby Knowby (Lucy
Lawless) catches up with Ash and company, and she tries and succeeds to
convince Ash that only she knows how to destroy the Necronomicon - but
that doesn't go quite as well as expected ... This show just
continues to be fun and holds the spirit of the original
trilogy alive in combining gore and gruesomeness with whacky
comedy. And despite the series' very basic premise, it continues to come
up with fun ideas to play variations on the theme, also thanks to fun
characters and of course Bruce Campbell leading a very competent cast.
