"There are presently more chicken on earth than humans", Lisa
(Genoveva Rossi) lets her girlfriend Jill (Pamela Martin) know - and it's
basically another of these random and useless facts she seems to come up
with all the time ... well, useless but for the fact that the chickens are
actually presently rising against their human oppressors, pecking them to
death as revenge for all their brethren who've been eaten by humans - and
it's an uprising that's commanded by chickens from outer space ... Now
this movie doesn't boast much in terms of production values, its chickens
are exclusively hand puppets, its dialogue is stilted and silly
("The world is going to end, what should we do?" - "Let's
make love one more time!"), the performances are wooden, and the
whole thing is actually rather ridiculous ... and these are the exact
qualities that make this movie great, a perfect hommage to sci-fi/horror
trash classics like Attack
of the Killer Tomatoes and of course Plan
9 from Outer Space that also shows a deep understanding of these
movies and what makes them so endearingly silly and that genre are sure to
enjoy!
