Some village in rural Bavaria: Flori (Flori Endlicher) loves Rosi
(Judith Fritsch), but since Rosl's father mayor Gamsmüller (Franz
Muxeneder) and Flori's mother Maria (Astrid Boner) are bitter enemies,
they ahve to hide their love - but they still seem to shag on every
haystack they can find ... Then mayor Gamsmüller has the idea of
searching for Napoleon's gold, that's supposed to be hidden in the region,
to fill up the empty cashbox of the municipality - and his own as well ...
and it is then that Hans (Klaus Münster), Maria's boyfriend has an idea:
He dresses up as a renowned professor from the capital and convinces
Gamsmüller and the whole district council that the gold is actually
hidden on Maria's land, and makes Gamsmüller pay mining rights to search
for the treasure ... then Hans in his professor personality takes off
again to evade complications. There is still one problem though:
Gamsmüller is actually Flori's father, and that would mean Flori and Rosi
have an incestous relationship ... and it breaks both their hearts when
they find out. But then, Gamsmüller's wife (Nana Burger) reveals to him
that Rosi isn't actually his daughter, but that of a politician from the
capital ... and ultimately, the whole film ends with Rosi and Flori
marrying and the village recieving a gouvernment grant (thanks to Rosi's
real father). Only Gamsmüller is still not satisfied and keeps searching
for the (non-existant) treasure ... Herbert Fux plays a kind-of comic
relief as a mailman who constantly gets into accidents. German
sex-cinema of the Heimatfilm-variety - meaning lots of awful
slapstick, a bad storyline, and plenty of excuses (and not-even-excuses)
to show naked female flesh. Now I don't mind the nudity, but otherwise, Auf
ins Blaukarierte Himmelbett is a pretty bad film with a confused yet
predictable storyline and next to zero laughs, and more than anything
else, I'd call it a waste of time and money that doesn't even work all
that well as nostalgic erotica.
